Dollars for Scholars Phonathon ~
Thank
you Wakefield…
On
Saturday, March 15th student volunteers from local high
schools manned the telephones during the 28th annual Citizens’
Scholarship Foundation of Wakefield Dollars for Scholars
Phonathon. Wakefield residents replied in their usual
generous way! Thank you to the kind people of Wakefield
who pledged close to $20,000 to our Phonathon.
The
annual Phonathon helps raise funds for scholarships awarded
to Wakefield college students. Each donation, regardless
of the dollar amount, goes a long way in making a difference
in the life of at least one local student in need of scholarship
assistance.
If
you received a call and made a pledge, you will receive
a confirmation by mail. Residents who were not at home
when the calls were made can still donate. Mail your donation
check made payable to CSF of Wakefield, PO Box 321, Wakefield,
MA 01880 or see our website to pay by credit card using
PayPal. Donations can be applied to an existing permanent
or accumulating scholarship fund, the CSF General Fund
(money used for scholarships awarded in June) or the Greatest
Needs Fund (CSF will use these funds to pay for either
scholarships or administrative expenses). Ask your employer
about matching gifts! All donations are tax
deductible . Thank you for your generosity.
